Appalachian Features Magazine is proud to feature and highlight the great talent that is renowned from the Appalachian region of the USA. Skills and craftsmanship come from time honored traditions passed down through the generations as well as learned through practice and modern adaptation of skills and techniques.

The original Appalachian craftsmanship was a necessity of the early development of this great nation as the Appalachian people were landlocked from the rest of the world and had to be resourceful in using natural materials to create functional products that were used in everyday life. Wooden items, tools, clothing and blacksmithing are among the traditional crafts that preserve time honored traditions.
